Gone with the old, in with the new

Well I have decided that my real passion/hobby is home decor.  When I am in a store, I always find myself in the home decor section, even if I went in to get something completely different.
Or if I go out to run an errand, I somehow manage to make a quick stop at TJ Maxx Home Goods or some home decorating store just to browse and get my fill.  It is one of those hobbies where my mind becomes creative and I could spend hours just looking at stuff.  The only problem is, is that my small apartment can't seem to fit any more home decor items so if I REALLY like something, it generally replaces something I already had (but just didn't like as much).  I had a small, dark brown TV stand (that I didn't take a before picture of), but it was not that cute and barely served it's function.  When I saw this piece below at Goodwill for $29.99, I knew I could make it into a perfect TV stand.  Of course, being me, I started painting the top and remembered to catch a before pic.  So please excuse the white top on the first two pictures :)  I painted this baby all around and then sanded it down to give it more a shabby chic feel.  Hope you like the end product as much as I do!!  Enjoy the sunshine!
